Summary:

Raised in a psychiatric hospital and sold to a circus, the human woman Tule is forced to serve the immortal Wycca as entertainment. As the Blood Moon shines, she finds herself in the city of Avastone. The red moon heralds the Veri: a festival celebrating the hunting of humans, where the Wycca display the elegance of killing. Hosted by none other than the heartless Wycca king.

Tule finds herself in the heart of the Veri. To survive, she is forced to train under the Wycca Rusc. But the two inflict more than just fatal wounds on each other. If Tule isn't careful, Rusc will leave scars on her heart. She must stay sane.

But the voices in her head grow louder with every drop of blood she spills. Voices that command her to kill.
