Summary:

When a dream opportunity arises at a prestigious foundation, PhD student Sydney Denik leaves her chaotic life behind and joins a dozen other students at a remote lodge hidden in a fog-shrouded bay on Vancouver Island.

But the Madrona Foundation is home to more than just brilliant minds. Everyone around her is hiding a terrible secret—including the psychologist she's fallen for. A student disappears, and no one but Sydney seems to care. Ghosts wander the halls. Snow falls in the middle of summer. Dead animals move like the living. The more Sydney discovers about the foundation, the more she begins to doubt her own sanity.  

But if Sydney doesn't go crazy, then the horrors in the surrounding forests are real, and the Madrona Foundation could be the biggest monster of all.
